Medical Oncology

Medical oncology is the subspecialty of oncology that involves the use of medical and chemotherapeutic treatments of cancer.

Our medical oncology team consists of board certified oncology doctors and nurses, an on-site pharmacist and the front office staff that will smile and get to know you at every appointment. All have a reputation for their quality of care, but also for the quality of their caring. Continuing education is priority. Our staff stay up-to-date on the latest treatments and technologies with complete, intensive oncology training and American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer program accreditation, as well as ongoing medical education focused on current topics in the oncology and psychology fields.

Shiroo Parshad, M.D.
Board Certified Medical Oncologist

I want to provide responsive, accessible and compassionate service to cancer patients, their families and physicians in this community. I strive to meet not just the medical needs of my patients, but also their rights to clarity, honesty and dignity. I meet these needs by providing patient-centered service, by involving families and other caregivers appropriately and by interacting with physicians in other specialties critically involved in the care of my patients. Here at Community Hospital Anderson, we treat cancer aggressively and engage in clinical research trials to provide new treatment options, but we also focus on maximizing your quality of life.

Dr. Parshad is board-certified in medical oncology and hematology. She attended medical school at All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi and completed her residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Pennsylvania.

Bilal Siddiqui, M.D.
Board Certified Medical Oncologist

A cancer diagnosis brings fear and emotions that completely change your world. You need a physician who not only treats your cancer, but can also take care of you as a person, someone you can trust and share with. My personal approach is to provide my patients a level of comfort that encourages them to ask questions and express their concerns and emotions. I try to give my patients what I would want as a patient: access to the most recent advancements in the field, the ability to communicate with your oncologist whenever you need to, and the understanding that you are not going through this alone.

Dr. Siddiqui is board-certified in medical oncology and hematology. He completed his residency at Long Island Jewish Center, New York and his fellowship at IU Medical Center in Indianapolis.

Natraj Reddy Ammakkanavar, M.D.

Dr. Reddy, a board-certified medical oncologist, attended medical school at Mysore Medical College in Mysore, India. He completed his residency in internal medicine at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York, NY and then completed a fellowship in hematology/oncology at Indiana University.
