At Community Hospital Anderson, our primary purpose in delivering respiratory therapy is for the promotion of optimum cardiopulmonary function and health in patients of all ages. We assist in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and support, as well as providing respiratory support for patients who cannot breathe on their own. We provide inhaled medication treatments and supplemental oxygen. In addition, we provide patient and family education to insure our patients are well prepared to care for themselves once they return home.
Respiratory Care Practitioners evaluate, treat, and care for patients with breathing or other cardiopulmonary disorders. Practicing under the direction of a physician, respiratory therapists assume primary responsibility for all respiratory care, therapeutic treatments, and diagnostic procedures.
Our qualified Respiratory Care Practitioners are equipped to care for the respiratory needs of patients from pediatrics through geriatrics. Respiratory care services provide relief to patients with chronic and acute lung conditions, as well as emergency care to patients whose respiratory and/or cardiac systems have been compromised.
Through our actions and delivery of quality patient care, we strive to illustrate the values of our mission and our SERVE vision…Service, Enthusiasm, Respect, Value and Excellence.
We, as clinicians, are licensed personnel highly qualified in delivering our services to meet the needs of our community.
