Community Hospital Anderson will hold an open house for the da Vinci® surgical program on Thursday, Nov. 20 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the surgery waiting room at the hospital. The public is invited to attend to learn more about da Vinci® surgery, including the new single site option.
Dr. Ben McCurdy and Dr. Joseph Baer now use da vinci® single site for gallbladder surgery and Dr. Roberto Darroca for hysterectomy. This technology enables surgeons to operate through a small incision in the patient’s belly button, resulting in virtually no scars. The procedure also offers the same benefits as other da Vinci® surgeries including low complication rates, low blood loss, minimal pain and shorter hospital stays.
All three of the single site surgeons will be present at the event to answer questions and discuss the new technology. Refreshments will be served. Bring your questions to find out if da Vinci® surgery is a good option for you.
