Located in the rural setting of Summitville, this 34-bed, Medicaid-certified intermediate care facility creates a family friendly environment. Large windows and birdfeeders allow for relaxing views of nature. Summit also provides respite care, adult day and hospice services.
Long term care
Appropriate for those who can no longer be cared for at home due to illness, injury, frailty or other limitations, our facility offers ongoing nursing and rehabilitation in a caring and home like environment. We address our residents’ social, emotional, physical and spiritual needs.
These services are available for seniors who need only a temporary (30 days or less) stay at our facility. This may be while a caregiver is on vacation or taking a needed break from care giving. Your loved one will be cared for 24 hours a day and enjoy many social opportunities through our activities programs during the short stay with us. Therapy services are also available to seniors during a respite stay.
Adult day services
Day care services for senior who are available. This program offers care, assistance and social opportunities for seniors, while their families and caregivers work outside the home or even just run errands.
For those seniors facing end of life issues, our hospice service focuses on symptom management rather than curative care. Provided by an outside agency of the resident and family's choice, Northview staff work closely with them to meet the physical, social and spiritual needs of the family.
As a smaller facility, the staff and residents at Summit cultivate a genuine familial environment where residents truly feel at home. Call or stop by for a tour and see why so many people choose Summit Convalescent for their loved ones.
"The staff at Summit Convalescent Center was waiting with smiling faces and gentle hands to welcome (my aunt) and help her get her established in her new routine. What could have been a frightening and confusing time became simply a new beginning at another loving home." (Rachel S.)
"Thank you for the excellent care you gave to Mother during her stay. You certainly made things easier for me to cope with knowing that all of you cared. Thank you seems so small, but that's all I can say." (Jodie S.)
"There are truly no words that express our thanks for all you've done and the compassion you've shown for our mother in her time with you. When we were unable to give her the care she needed, you all stepped up and provided that for her, which gave us great comfort knowing she was in good hands. You allowed us to spend time and enjoy our visits with her without the worry of her care." (Mark and Kimberly P.)
